What is the Craniosacral System?
It is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround + protect the brain + spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally, we release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease + is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain + dysfunction.
migraines + headaches
chronic pain
central nervous system disorders (ie: spasticity, seizures, hearing problems)
trouble sleeping
reflux
anxiety
orthopedic problems
scoliosis
chronic fatigue
chronic pain
sciatica pain
+ much more
*Special continuing education in CST can be done in order to specifically work with infants + children, as well as women's health.
I also ask that you reschedule your in-person session if
~ you have a fever or new onset of cough or difficulty breathing
~ you have travelled out-of-province within the last 14 days
~ you have had any contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19
~ you are feeling sick
I am currently enrolled in Craniosacral Therapy Level 2. I must complete 75 sessions of the 10-Step Protocol. These can be performed on their own or added to any massage treatment.
The 10-step protocol consists of a series of techniques that comprise the foundation of CST. Each step is designed to be used as both an evaluative + corrective tool.
